I have the author’s first collection, “Butterflies and Skin.” I was really looking forward to getting my hands on this new one. It did not disappoint. This book is full of beautiful and pure poetry that stays with you. Everyone and anyone, will take healing and real life lessons from reading these words. I particularly loved the pieces, “Roam Here,” on page 97 and “I Will Hear You,” on page 136. Such an uplifting and “real,” book.

I was pleasantly surprised at the variety and range in this book. Ms.Simone fits in a category all her own. I’m going to pass this on to my adult daughters. 5 stars

An introductory chapter that focuses on examples of curves is followed by a more rigorous and careful look at plane curves. Subsequent chapters explore commutative ring theory and algebraic geometry as well as varieties of arbitrary dimension and some elementary mathematics on curves. Upon finishing the text, students will have a foundation for advancing in several different directions, including toward a further study of complex algebraic or analytic varieties or to the scheme-theoretic treatments of algebraic geometry.
